Ministry Groups Archangel Orthodox Bookstore Owned and operated by the parish at 1352-A Irving Street, San Francisco (between Judah and Irving Sts). 415-242-9698 Lectures and Classes A variety of lectures, open to the public, are given throughout the year on Orthodox Theology, history, and other topics of Orthodox interest, by many guest speakers. In addition, Introduction to Orthodoxy and Bible classes are taught Thursdays at 7:30pm at this location. Also, on Saturdays during 2002-2003, from 10am--1pm, a series of 3 twelve-week Liturgics classes appropriate for choir leaders, singers and readers that covers the liturgical year is offered under the instruction of Nicholas Custer. Hospitality Parish members offer hospitality in two guest rooms at St Paul's Discipleship House, 20 Steiner St, for Orthodox travellers, stopping overnight for for a few days. Iconography Class Classes in Iconography (open to the public) are taught by iconographer Alexander Kharon on Saturday mornings at 9 AM to noon. |
